However, the movie has hit a roadblock as it awaits clearance from the censor board in India, owing to its bold subject matter revolving around sex education. This has left the producers in a state of uncertainty, with the hope that the revising committee will eventually grant the much-needed approval.

Sourceshave revealed that the team behind Oh My God 2 is eagerly waiting for the green light from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). They have even prepared a trailer, which they intended to launch on July 27 and attach to the prints of another upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Unfortunately, both the trailer and the film itself have not yet received clearance from the CBFC due to concerns about its slightly controversial content in today's context.

The team is anxiously hoping for the CBFC's approval within the next two days, so they can proceed with their marketing plan and unveil the trailer. With the release date less than 20 days away, time is of the essence for spreading awareness about the movie. A 10-day marketing campaign is deemed essential from the trailer launch to the actual release, and the team is keen on having all aspects settled in time. In light of the situation, even Akshay Kumar is actively utilizing his contacts to help secure a theatrical release for OMG 2.

Ideally, the team aims to launch the trailer on July 27, which would be two weeks before the theatrical release. However, if this date is missed, they have a second option for launching the trailer on July 31. The coming three days will undoubtedly be crucial, as everyone closely observes the functioning of the censor board and hopes for a positive outcome that will pave the way for OMG 2's theatrical release.
